Arlen is the operational heart and creative force behind Bee’s Cafe++ Catering, shaping both the vision and the experience of the brand.
After nearly 14 years in the corporate world, she made a deliberate shift toward a life built around creativity, hospitality, and meaningful connection. Today, she channels that transition into her role as CEO—bringing structure, intuition, and a deeply personal touch to every event the company produces.
With a meticulous eye for detail and a natural talent for bringing people together, Arlen ensures that each celebration is not only beautifully executed, but thoughtfully felt. Her approach is hands-on, intuitive, and grounded in a genuine love for creating moments that linger long after the table is cleared.
Arlen and Chef Juan have been married for 16 years and share two children, who remain at the center of their world. Together, they have built Bee’s Cafe++ Catering as an extension of their home—where family, friends, and guests are welcomed with the same warmth and generosity.
Her academic background in International Relations, completed in Nicaragua, reflects her global perspective—though she often credits her true specialization as understanding people, gathering, and the art of hospitality.

Chef Juan has long held a deep passion for food, shaped by decades of experience and an enduring commitment to the craft of cooking.
In 2015, that lifelong devotion became Bee’s Cafe++, a catering and private chef service built on the belief that exceptional cuisine begins with personal connection and thoughtful listening. With over 21 years of experience across restaurants and catering, Chef Juan brings both technical mastery and a highly intuitive approach to every menu he creates.
His culinary foundation spans Sacramento and Northern California, as well as Mexico, Central, and South America, where he developed a deep appreciation for rustic, ingredient-driven cuisine elevated through refined technique. His style reflects what he calls “elegant peasant food”—honest, seasonal dishes expressed with sophistication and care.
Above all, Chef Juan is known for creating food that reflects the people he serves—menus shaped not only by skill, but by conversation, preference, and intention.
